Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get set up as a new patient?

Anyone who is interested in becoming a new patient at our practice can call our front office at (843) 216-7640 and we will happily assist in setting you up!

What happens if I have not been seen in over year?

Any patients who have not been seen in the last year will be considered new patients and will be required to complete a clinical history form prior to their scheduled appointment. Please keep in mind that wait times for new patient appointments may be longer than typical follow-ups, this is why we encourage maintaining how often you are seen.

How often do I need to be seen in order to keep my medications refilled?

Patients must be seen at least every three months in order for medication to continue to be refilled, specifically for controlled substances (ex. Adderall, Vyvanse, Xanax, etc.)

When will my medications be filled?

Our office policy is that we ask two to three business days from the initial medication request, for the prescription to be filled. All medications are sent in by your provider during your scheduled appointment, which is why we highly recommend staying on track with appointment times and medication refills.

Can I refill my medications early?

Under no circumstances are controlled substance medications to be filled early (traveling or losing a medication is not an exception). Due to licensing regulations under no circumstances will we send controlled substances to out of state pharmacies.

What if I need to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy?

Any non-controlled substances can easily be transferred upon your request to the pharmacy. All controlled substances will need to be transferred by your provider.
